Pershing Square founder Bill Ackman stated that Jared Kushner is a top-tier individual, and the U.S. is fortunate to have him represent national interests in peace, hostage return, or other negotiations. He characterized the attacks against Kushner as stemming from resentment, jealousy, or political calculation.

This retweet responds to Kushner's statement that day. Kushner wrote that for the past decade he has ignored false and misleading reports about himself and focused on his work; now old lies are being repeated as facts, with new ones added, distorting the record further. He will not respond to every accusation but will publicly provide materials and evidence when facts are important, allowing people to make their own judgments.

The trigger was a CNN report on Thursday. Kushner posted separately, stating that the headline implied his diplomatic work in the Middle East somehow benefited investments in Israeli defense companies, while the body acknowledged that no evidence was found that his diplomatic actions directly influenced the investments under review, a statement behind a paywall. CNN reported that his private equity firm, Affinity Partners, is the largest shareholder of Israeli financial institution Phoenix Financial, which has invested in at least nine companies supplying military equipment to Israel.

Kushner responded that Affinity is a registered investment company with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; the investment in Phoenix is public, predating Trump's re-election and his return to public office; Affinity does not own the defense companies named in the report. He stated that these facts may not fit sensational headlines but are more accurate. A CNN spokesperson stated they stand by their reporting. Kushner currently serves as a presidential envoy for peace and stated he will not allow misleading reports to interrupt the president's tasks: ending wars, bringing people together, and pursuing peace.

Ackman did not provide new shareholding lists, negotiation texts, or hostage lists. He added personal and representational judgments. Kushner added a timeline: investments were made before his return to office, the company does not directly hold the named defense companies, and CNN itself wrote that no evidence was found that diplomatic actions directly influenced investments.

This is not a trading directive. The buyer is Kushner, who wants to separate his diplomatic role from private equity holdings, and Ackman, who is willing to publicly endorse him; the seller is the report that combines the largest shareholder, military supply chains, and Middle East negotiations into the same headline. The event is driven by an investigation and two statements, with no funds changing hands. The beneficiaries are those who want to maintain the peace talks and hostage negotiation authority without being bogged down by stockholding controversies; the pressure remains that Affinity's status as Phoenix's largest shareholder still exists, and the reporting party has stated they will not retract. Neither side has provided new evidence of direct causality.
