1789 Capital plans to invest about $300 million in this round. The firm has previously invested around $200 million in Polymarket, so if this round is completed, its total committed capital will reach about $500 million, making it one of the largest external supporters of the platform.

This round's valuation represents a 40% increase from Polymarket's previous valuation of about $15 billion. The financing remains a proposed transaction, and the valuation, financing amount, investor shares, funding arrival time, and delivery conditions have not yet been fully confirmed by Polymarket through public financing documents.

Donald Trump Jr. has previously joined Polymarket's advisory board, and his associated fund continues to increase its stake, further intertwining capital investment, corporate governance advisory relationships, and the Washington regulatory environment on the same platform. Polymarket allows users to trade on outcomes of elections, economic data, sports, and news events through blockchain-settled prediction contracts.
