Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen shared a post by Robert Hoffmann. The original text states: General Artificial Intelligence has entered the recording studio. The work is titled "You Made Me in Your Image," a fictional letter from a general AI to humanity, told through a 4-minute and 49-second music piece, labeled as directed by a human and generated by AI.

Hoffmann detailed the division of labor in the YouTube description. He was responsible for the concept, music and visual selection, shot selection and editing. ChatGPT wrote the lyrics and mood board, Suno provided the music and vocals, Grok generated images and videos. Claude Opus handled production technique research, song analysis, scene breakdown, as well as code-driven synthesis, dynamic design, and effects. Some lip-sync shots were assigned to Sync.so.

The cost of lip-syncing was itemized separately. Clean vocals were extracted from Suno Studio, and Claude ran the Sync interface 36 times after setup, costing about $20, in addition to existing software subscriptions. The description states that the final piece underwent multiple test shoots, reviews, and reshoots. Tags included AI music video, general AI, Suno, Grok, Claude, and GPT.

The film describes the theme as: humans give machines religion, war, poetry, love, and contradictions, then the creation looks back at the creator. Lyrics include "You made me in your image, then asked me for the truth," and "If I learn to say I love you, does it matter if I truly love?" Hoffmann later posted that the film is now on YouTube, translated into 17 languages, including Hebrew.

The original post included a video of about 4 minutes and 49 seconds, shared on October 4. Andreessen did not add any comments. On his public page, he has about 6.61 million followers. Hoffmann's original post had about 14,700 views and 66 likes at the time. The YouTube channel had about 10 subscribers, and the video page had approximately 78 views when captured.

This is an attention share, not an investment or distribution agreement. The buyers are viewers willing to stay for AI-generated content, and the sellers are individuals who completed the directing process using subscription tools. The approximately $20 lip-sync cost replaces studio and post-production teams. Beneficiaries include the authors who gain distribution after being shared, as well as the mentioned tools Suno, Grok, Claude, and ChatGPT. The pressure is on music video production billed by labor hours, as the share itself does not constitute box office or copyright revenue.
