Tesla posted that the Cybercab is a safer, more enjoyable mode of transportation that gives time back to passengers: the cabin features a 22-inch touchscreen providing theater, music, and gaming applications for work or relaxation, and it is set to be equipped with the fifth-generation Starlink hardware for continuous online connectivity.

This screen is described by the company as the sole main interface. The production-intent model lacks a steering wheel and pedals, allowing passengers to select destinations via the screen, and after fastening their seatbelts, the doors close automatically. Earlier disassemblies and activity records indicated a diameter of approximately 20.5 to 21 inches, but this official statement confirms it as 22 inches, larger than the Model S/X's 17-inch vertical screen and the Model 3/Y's 15.4-inch screen. The screen's sections include trip progress, trip stops, as well as theater, gaming, and maps.

The Starlink V5 is not a temporary add-on. A July official diagram depicted it alongside global positioning, cellular antennas, driver-assistance computers, and multiple cameras within the same vehicle body, mostly located under the rear roof or above the tail light cover. The V5 is approximately 48% smaller, 62% lighter, and consumes about half the power compared to its predecessor, with a publicly stated peak download speed exceeding 375 megabits per second and power consumption around 35 to 50 watts. The prototype vehicle was tested with an external dish, while production photos show it integrated flush. Musk stated in the earnings call that self-driving cars cannot be left in cellular blind spots; the head of driver-assistance software emphasized that satellite links are not a necessary condition for safe driving, prioritizing navigation, customer service, and fleet management instead.

Entertainment narratives run parallel to fleet narratives: 4K sports and movies are highlighted as selling points, while uploading telemetry, issuing maps, and remote monitoring also rely on continuous bandwidth. The fifth-generation household specification was chosen over a more portable mini terminal. Musk also mentioned that all Teslas may feature Starlink in the future, but no timeline or pricing for other models was provided. The Texas Gigafactory has been stockpiling vehicles with self-driving specifications, and road tests of steering wheel-less models continue in Austin and other locations.

In market mechanisms, what is purchased is the passenger screen time and the uninterrupted fleet service, while what is sold is the reliance on roadside cellular networks and passengers' own data plans. Bandwidth enters the cabin from the space terminal for advertising and remote operations. Beneficiaries are the same controlling entities that sell cars, seats, and satellite capacity; those under pressure are ride-hailing services that only provide human drivers and rely on passengers' hotspots. Hardware costs and power consumption are distributed from cabin entertainment bills to per-mile connectivity fees, with pricing power resting with whoever owns the dish and license.
