Elon Musk retweeted an announcement from X and xAI's Chief Legal Officer James Burnham, simply stating: "Don't mess with X." Burnham mentioned that the platform has sued multiple individuals, accusing them of abusing creator revenue sharing, operating coordinated accounts, posting false content to inflate engagement, and using multiple bank accounts to conceal funds.

The lawsuit was filed on September 17 in the High Court of England and Wales, with X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp as plaintiffs. The defendants named are Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa, and unidentified collaborators. The complaint alleges that six Bitcoin-themed accounts form a single network, liking and retweeting each other, posting similar or identical content within seconds, and cashing out through the revenue-sharing program.

X has listed a total amount paid of at least £207,384, approximately $279,000, with an additional investigation and remediation loss of at least £75,000. Accounts are cross-referenced with Stripe, device IDs, emails, and payment accounts. The entire network was shut down on August 18. The platform also claimed that this gang attempted to sell engagement manipulation to outsiders and acquire high-follower accounts, allowing the remaining accounts to continue earning after one was suspended.

This case follows the 2025 Hanoi click farm lawsuit and coincides with the closure of the old revenue-sharing program on September 7 and the takeover of new content rewards on September 8. The revenue-sharing rules previously listed engagement manipulation and coordinated replies as grounds for removal or suspension. Musk's brief statement framed civil claims as a platform deterrent.

The incremental information is not in new product features but in elevating engagement manipulation from rule violations to cross-border lawsuits and publicly reclaiming already disbursed revenue.
