Elon Musk announced the launch of Grokipedia v0.3 and called for joining SpaceXAI, aiming to eventually rename this AI encyclopedia to Encyclopedia Galactica.

He did not provide a separate feature list but directly linked the version release to recruitment: v0.3 is now live at grokipedia.com, with the site reporting 6,092,140 entries and over 1.17 million revisions approved; users can only submit suggestions, which Grok will approve, reject, or suspend against sources, and cannot directly rewrite the text. The homepage has been changed to a rotatable digital book cover, a horizontal spine-style "most read" section, and a real-time stream of approved revisions, while article pages have tightened line spacing and redesigned the top fact sheet.

The naming path has been publicly stated: first run Grokipedia, and once the content is "good enough," it will be renamed Encyclopedia Galactica. v0.1 started on October 27, 2025, with about 885,279 machine-written entries, v0.2 added a suggestion layer on November 21, 2025; images, info boxes, and knowledge panels will be added in January 2026. Design lead Benji Taylor described the interface as "refreshed" and indicated that further changes will follow.

This call comes after a pause and restart. From April 24, 2026, review and automatic revisions were temporarily halted, with about 13,002 suggestion cards stuck in review and about 8,658 approved but not written in; human submissions still enter at about 216 per week. By late September, the real-time page reintroduced "review all references and sources," with high-traffic pages highlighting new verification timestamps, while some pages remain stuck at records from about seven months ago.

The product mechanism has not changed to a crowdsourced discussion page: suggestions are anonymous externally, complete diffs are not public, and new entries can also be requested by name. In testing, some entries have recorded new release dates, while new topic requests are still pending review. After SpaceXAI takes over the encyclopedia's operation, design, model review, and entry distribution will be tied to the same product line.

In market mechanisms, this is driven by recruitment and brand survival, not secondary market trading. What is bought is the visible signal of "the project is still being written"; what is sold is the discounted value of being treated as a frozen site after months of no updates. Funds and computing power are directed towards model review, interface reconstruction, and public recruitment, rather than compensating entry discussion editors. The beneficiary is SpaceXAI, which needs to re-establish the narrative of the Galactic Encyclopedia; the pressure is on the direct editing rights typical of Wiki-style platforms, and the trust gap from the backlog of suggestions that have yet to be cleared.
