Peter Thiel kicked off the first of four lectures in the "Antichrist" series on September 28 at the Tennessee Masonic Lodge, attended by hundreds. The organizers prohibited journalists from entering and did not allow paper, pens, or recording devices. Within an hour of the event's conclusion, local media Nashville Scene had obtained multiple complete recordings and transcripts, with excerpts from the end and middle published but the full text not yet released.

Thiel concluded by stating that when discussing survival risks such as AI, nuclear weapons, and climate change, it is insufficient to focus solely on technological destruction; the list should also include "totalitarian world government." He explained that this is why he repeatedly speaks about the Antichrist: focusing on just one risk is itself dangerous. The speech lasted about an hour, with Scene describing it as sliding from Christian eschatology into "a theory of everything by one person."

In the middle of his talk, he framed the dysfunction of American institutions within the same context. He asked the audience which part of the government operates the worst, subsequently comparing the post office and DMV to university humanities departments—at least "doing nothing" is transparent; the NSA, on the other hand, resembles some obscure science, making it difficult for ordinary people to judge whether it is functioning normally. He offered a similar judgment: "sciences are in worse shape than the humanities."

The series is organized by The Pamphleteer and Meriwether Academy, with tickets priced at $100 covering all four events, featuring a speech from 6 PM to 7 PM followed by an hour of Q&A, hosted by former Reagan speechwriter Peter Robinson. The titles for the subsequent three lectures are set: "The End of Empire" on October 5, "Velocity of Antichrist" on October 12, and "New Rome" on October 19. The location will be announced to ticket holders on the day of the event, with security including metal detection. This is the third round of the series, which previously took place behind closed doors in San Francisco in 2025 and early 2026 near the Vatican, where the Catholic Church had publicly distanced itself.

Scene highlighted the Nashville connection: Vanderbilt University President Daniel Diermeier appeared in reports from Thiel's organized Dialog circle; organizer Davis Hunt described the area as "one of the few places in the Western world that still holds true Christian faith," while the Masonic venue maintained distance from the lecture's content. Thiel's personal net worth is reported to be over $30 billion, with the sale of PayPal for about $1.5 billion marking his rise to fame; he is currently the chairman of Palantir.

In market mechanisms, this is not a securities issuance but a leak of closed-door intellectual products. The buyers are the audience who paid $100 to enter and the media seeking firsthand materials, while the sellers are those who brought recordings out of the venue. The flow is: prohibition of notes and devices → a complete record still forms inside → enters local weekly within an hour. The beneficiaries are Scene and subsequent narrators who obtained the original words; the pressured parties are the "closed-door, no-record" commitments of event control and the regulatory narrative that still aims to frame global governance as a rescue plan. Thiel, while betting on AI and surveillance software through Founders Fund and Palantir, lists "control systems built to manage risks" as a greater danger, hedging capital and theology on the same list.

On a supplementary level: the San Francisco round was similarly leaked to the media via anonymous recordings; he has equated "one country or multiple countries" directly with "Antichrist or apocalypse," and pointed to the katechon (restrainer) and potential new Rome as the United States, especially San Francisco, far from Washington. The complete Nashville recording has been confirmed to exist, and whether it continues to leak will determine if this round of four lectures can become a cited complete text.
