SpaceX Super Intelligence Announces Unified Grok, Cursor, and X Premium Plans, Launches The X Subscription
SpaceXSI Launches X Subscription Unifying Five Subscription Tiers
SpaceX Super Intelligence has announced the unification of Grok, Cursor, and X Premium plans, launching The X Subscription, which covers a complete path from coding and work execution to chat creation and X Premium benefits.
The plan is divided into five tiers, from Free to Ultra. Each tier offers usage per dollar higher than its comparable old plan, with a shared usage pool covering Grok applications, Cursor, and related features within X.
Users can code with AI in Cursor, complete work tasks with Grok Bot, chat and create with Grok, while enjoying all X Premium features. Existing subscribers can retain their original plans or switch to the new subscription and link their Grok, Cursor, and X accounts.
The rollout is progressive, and users need to check their billing settings to confirm availability and any limited-time offers. The X Subscription is now available at x.ai/pricing for eligible users.
During the switch, existing SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium accounts can be merged into the same workspace and billing, with unused time prorated. Third-party models remain available at higher tiers but are billed separately.
Funds will flow from previously dispersed multi-product subscriptions to a unified platform bill, allowing users to reduce unit costs through higher usage per dollar; SpaceXSI benefits from increased cross-product lock-in and ARPU, while independent tool vendors face pressure during user migration, driven by plan unification and limited-time offers.

SpaceXSI previously acquired Cursor and integrated it with the Grok ecosystem, incorporating Grok Bot into the paid Cursor and SuperGrok paths in August. This unified subscription is a continuation of the transition from product integration to billing integration following the acquisition.
By sharing usage pools and increasing usage per dollar, SpaceXSI concentrates expenditures that were previously directed towards Cursor coding, Grok chatting, and X Premium, aiming to maximize the utilization of its own models and reduce user switching costs among multiple vendors, shifting resources from point products to internal platform circulation.
Similar to Microsoft's embedding of Copilot into Microsoft 365 or Google's unification of Workspace with Gemini, SpaceXSI is in a phase of platform expansion post-acquisition, transitioning from single-point AI tools to full-stack subscription control.
This essentially represents a transfer of pricing power: the platform controls the upgrade path for users from basic to heavy usage through usage pools and tier design, with excess demand returning as recharge revenue, restructuring the industry chain from multi-tool competition to a platform rental structure under a single bill.
