Robinhood will hold its third HOOD Summit in Houston from September 29 to 30, themed "Engines of Creation." Co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev will unveil new products and updates for active traders during the keynote speech on the first day.

The keynote is scheduled for September 29 at 5:30 PM local time at the George R. Brown Convention Center, where Tenev and company executives will showcase active trading tools. The following day will feature a full agenda at the convention center and Space Center Houston, with the main stage live-streamed for the first time, available through the Robinhood app, YouTube, and the official website. Attendees include Chief Brokerage Officer Steve Quirk, Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma, Chief Investment Officer Steph Guild, Vice President of Product Management Abhishek Fatehpuria, as well as Cathie Wood from ARK Invest, Tom Sosnoff from LossDog, and David Hoffman from Bankless.

The company's official teasers indicate that the summit will also announce updates on tokenized stocks, including adjustments to the dividend reinvestment plan. Robinhood Stock Tokens are currently offered by a Jersey entity as debt securities to qualified users outside the U.S., providing price exposure without constituting legal or beneficial ownership of the underlying stocks, and can be traded nearly 24/7 on the Robinhood Chain, having entered lending pools and used as collateral.

Tenev has publicly stated that Stock Tokens will include physical redemption and voting rights. Johann Kerbrat, head of crypto operations, mentioned that the team is advancing towards a 1:1 stock exchange and incorporating voting rights into the roadmap, potentially integrating with the company's Say shareholder interaction system. The first tokenized U.S. stocks are set to launch for EU users at the Cannes event in June 2025, covering over 200 stocks and ETFs; after the Robinhood Chain mainnet launches in July 2026, qualified users will be able to trade via wallets in over 120 countries, with U.S. individuals excluded.

The U.S. SEC issued a five-year Innovation Exemption on September 17, allowing qualified venues to trade tokenized U.S. stocks, provided the tokens have the same rights as common stocks, including dividends and voting, and issuers must be notified and given 30 days to object. This path aligns with the summit's announcements regarding rights alignment and dividend reinvestment updates.

This is an event-driven product launch window. Buyers are betting on active trading shares and tokenized expansion, while sellers view the summit as an opportunity to reduce holdings or cash out. Fund flows are directed towards brokerage commissions, options and crypto trading fees, prediction markets, and on-chain tokenized assets; beneficiaries are high-frequency trading active accounts and platform fee structures, while those under pressure are token holders who have not yet aligned shareholder rights and potentially tokenized public companies that may exercise the 30-day veto right.
