Ukrainian defense technology company SkyFall announced its medium-range strike drone, Thor Hammer, on October 1, claiming it is their first medium-range strike platform. There are two range options, with a maximum of 350 kilometers and 600 kilometers. The company is also developing a variant with over 1000 kilometers range, which has not yet been delivered.

The company stated that the drone has been used on the front lines. The warhead weighs between 40 to 50 kilograms and can be equipped with fragmentation, explosive fragmentation, or other types. It has a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour, a wingspan of 3.5 meters, a body length of 3 meters, a maximum flight altitude of 4000 meters, and is equipped with white light and/or thermal imaging cameras. Deployment time is approximately 18 minutes. The unit price ranges from $25,000 to $30,000 depending on configuration.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has completed the coding for the drone, and procurement channels are open. SkyFall plans to increase production capacity to a maximum of 5000 units per month by the end of 2026, and will provide its own software, operator and technician training, as well as 24/7 technical support. The company is also developing domestically produced engines for medium-range strikes to reduce reliance on external power suppliers.

The launch method is described by the company as either ejection or boost, capable of being deployed from fixed platforms or mobile launchers such as trucks. When communication is available, it can be operated from a remote command post, with links including satellite communication or other encrypted systems. Navigation is described as a combination of satellite, inertial, and backup positioning, with the terminal phase capable of using artificial intelligence and computer vision for target alignment. These are configurations announced by the company, not independent test results.

The 1000-kilometer version is still under development. The target of 5000 units per month is the production capacity goal by the end of the year, not the current shipment volume. The 350-kilometer and 600-kilometer variants are already available. Interfax-Ukraine and Militarnyi both quoted the same set of figures provided by the company on October 1.

The buyer is the Ukrainian defense system that has incorporated it into procurement, while the seller is a domestic drone company that has reduced the unit price to $25,000 to $30,000. This reflects an order expectation driven by product release, not an already realized monthly production. The beneficiaries are frontline units looking to replace expensive cruise missiles with low-cost medium-range strikes. The pressure is on the production capacity still reliant on external engines and imported parts, as well as the external interpretation of the 600-kilometer range as fully validated.

If the end-of-year production capacity is realized, the theoretical monthly payload corresponds to 40 to 50 kilograms of warheads multiplied by 5000 units. The company has not disclosed the current monthly production volume, nor the timeline for the 1000-kilometer variant.
