Google announced a multi-year partnership with Beast Industries to integrate Gemini, Google Health, and Fitbit Air into Jimmy Donaldson's videos and advertisements. The first content is set to launch on September 5, featuring a team traversing jungles, deserts, and the Arctic, using Gemini to identify dangers and respond to extreme weather.

The partnership was announced by Marvin Chow, Vice President of Consumer and AI Marketing, on the official blog, stating that the relationship extends from YouTube to Gemini and health products. Donaldson will star in the newly launched Gemini advertisement, showcasing logistics planning for large stunts; Fitbit Air will appear in another challenge. The financial details were not disclosed. Jeff Housenbold, CEO of Beast Industries, stated that the collaboration received approval from Sundar Pichai and emphasized that AI is used for research and feasibility, not for writing, filming, or editing the videos themselves.

Donaldson's main channel is the first YouTube account to surpass 500 million subscribers. At the same time, reports indicated that YouTube is offering retention agreements to top creators, as some are negotiating content deals with Netflix. Google is positioning the largest single-channel traffic as a demonstration of Gemini's consumer end, tying survival challenges and health bands into the same narrative.
