Solv Protocol has clarified a BTC+ redemption that sparked public discussion, stating that the subscription and redemption mechanism is operating normally. The transaction in question triggered a risk review and does not represent a product freeze.

The protocol stated that the relevant assets remain intact within the protocol and have not been transferred, destroyed, or otherwise disposed of, and are under review according to established risk control processes. Actions will be based on verifiable information and evidence, not solely on social media identities or unilateral statements; legal advisors may be involved or judicial procedures initiated if necessary. The protocol also announced that it will no longer respond to public discussions based on online identities or similar situations, prioritizing asset security and BTC+ operations.

A user claimed to have withdrawn approximately 50.003907 BTC from Binance on July 8, converting it to SolvBTC and then to about 48.98 BTC+, targeting an annualized return of about 3%, rather than engaging in leveraged trading. Following this, minting and redemption were paused; after the protocol announced the resumption of functions on July 31, the address remained restricted, and assets have yet to be redeemed. The user stated they have submitted proof of fund sources, transaction records, and wallet control, seeking to lift the address restriction.

The timeline overlaps with a security incident on July 13. Attackers obtained deployment private keys, maliciously upgraded the production proxy contract on the BNB Smart Chain, and minted unauthorized BTC+. The team claimed to have isolated the malicious contract within three hours, freezing, destroying, or isolating unauthorized tokens, with no losses to the underlying Bitcoin. Subsequently, subscription and redemption were paused for about two weeks. The official stance is that BTC+ obtained through official channels and the underlying assets remain safe.

BTC+ is a strategy aggregation vault, with allocations including DEX liquidity, on-chain lending, neutral funding rate arbitrage, cross-chain staking, and RWA yields. The product page shows approximately 229.83 BTC locked, indicating an annualized return of 3%, with net asset value increasing from 1 to about 1.027891. Standard redemptions are processed in three windows monthly; BNB chain instant redemptions have a daily limit of 0.5 BTC and a single transaction limit of 0.1 BTC, with a fee rate of 0.25%. A governance announcement on September 23 will transfer some other vaults to batch redemptions at the end of the month, while the BTC+ schedule on Arbitrum and Base remains unchanged. The minting path from the Bitcoin mainnet to BTC+ is still shown as paused on the product page, with redemptions converting to BTCB on the BNB chain.

Funds have not flowed out of the protocol and are locked in a single address risk control. The seller is the address unable to complete the redemption, while the buyer continues to enter and exit the remaining shares according to schedule. The event is driven by compliance and source reviews following the July attack, not by vault insolvency. Beneficiaries include the protocol maintaining the narrative of approximately 230 BTC locked and other redeemable users; the pressured party is the position corresponding to the approximately 50 BTC and new subscription funds that assumed "redeemable at any time" as a guaranteed return. No redemption transactions resolving disputes have been publicly disclosed on-chain.
