UBS is hiring for two digital asset positions in New York, one responsible for investment banking digital asset strategy and the other for firm-wide distribution. Both positions have not yet shown any hires.

The IB Digital Assets Product Manager will cover tokenization, stablecoins, settlement infrastructure, custody, and distributed ledger-based business models, collaborating across departments including front office, risk control, legal, and technology, on a global scale. The base annual salary is between $225,000 and $242,500.

The Digital Assets Distribution Manager is part of the group digital assets team, responsible for making tokenized products commercially viable and scalable in emerging channels. The job description specifies that this is not a purely product role; the focus is on distribution and sales enablement, with market feedback being relayed back to products and platforms. The base annual salary is between $164,000 and $211,000, job ID 337566BR, full-time.

Both positions only disclose base annual salaries without mentioning bonuses, stock options, or total compensation. The upper limit for the product role is $31,500 higher than that of the distribution role, and the lower limit is $61,000 higher. The distribution role's location list also includes Rockville, Maryland, and Manasquan, New Jersey, with New York being the primary city listed.

The recruitment does not disclose any budget beyond the number of positions, nor does it specify the particular chains, stablecoin issuers, or custodians to be connected. The product role sets strategy and infrastructure, while the distribution role is responsible for delivering existing tokenized products into channels.

The buyer is UBS's human resources, while the seller is a digital asset manager capable of interfacing with investment banking, risk control, and channels. The event is driven by the bank formalizing tokenization from a pilot to official roles. Funds will first go into salaries, not directly into tokens. Beneficiaries are those who gain cross-departmental interfaces for product and distribution functions, while those under pressure are internal teams that still keep digital assets in single-point pilots without sales channels.

Neither job posting mentions a start date or discloses the names of reporting supervisors.
