Runway co-founder and co-CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela reviewed the product launches over the past eighteen days: runway ruby, developer mcp, solaris, gwm worlds 2, team packages, adobe plugins, model licensing, frame rate enhancement, and ruby's support for alpha channels. The company stated that the next eighteen days will be even busier.

Ruby converts SDR materials to HDR while retaining the transparency channel in a single step; the developer interface charges based on source resolution, approximately 20 credits per second, and 40 credits per second for resolutions above about 4K, aimed at professional post-production rather than hobbyist trials. The enhance frame rate feature recently launched on the developer interface, allowing materials to be retimed to 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60, or 120 frames, compatible with 23.98, 29.97, and 59.94, charging 1 credit for every 2 seconds of input duration, with a maximum single task length of 300 seconds.

Gwm worlds 2 is a research preview: it generates continuous 720p, 24 frames visuals and 48,000 Hz audio in real-time, allowing movement in scenes using text actions and shot inputs, supporting multiple characters, but there are drift and short-term consistency issues, with no public self-service sales yet. Solaris was announced alongside the real-time generation route, aiming to shorten the wait for the first frame and change generation to a streamable output.

The adobe plugin is free to install in Premiere Pro and After Effects, but generation still consumes paid credits, allowing direct output on the timeline, using aleph for video-to-video, and ruby for HDR. The team package is positioned between the professional and enterprise versions, with about 2 to 9 seats, charging approximately $69 per month per seat, or about $55 annually. The developer mcp allows agents to call runway for image and video generation within existing dialogues.

The company stated that the runway agent launched about ten weeks ago has over 2 million users, more than 100 million dialogues, and over 10,000 custom skills. The product suite is shifting from "exporting a video from the browser" to editing timelines, HDR delivery, frame rate standards, and playable world models.

In market mechanisms, this is a generative model company seizing post-production positions: what is sold is the round-trip time cost of exporting from the browser and importing back, while what is bought includes timeline plugins, HDR, and frame rate delivery layer credits. Funding is shifting from one-time generation subscriptions to studio seats, API billing by the second, and locking into Adobe workflows; beneficiaries are paid teams that need to deliver materials for opening and closing credits, while those under pressure are video model startups that only generate and do not engage in professional color pipelines.

The world model is still in preview, with commercialization first landing on ruby, plugins, and seat packages, rather than the playable universe itself.
