The a16z speedrun's 007 batch held its demo day on October 6, with over 80 companies presenting and more than 1000 investors in attendance. The batch leader confirmed in public that the companies had completed their presentations.

The application for this batch closed on May 17, with projects scheduled from July 27 to October 11, and the demo day set before the end of the program. The official announcement stated that over 30,000 teams applied, with just over 80 selected. The launch week took place in Los Angeles, with the remaining 12 weeks held offline in San Francisco.

The investment terms are up to $1 million: initially investing $500,000 via SAFE for 10% equity, followed by another $500,000 in the next round within 18 months. Selected companies can also receive over $5 million in cloud, AI, and software credits, and gain priority access to models, app stores, and social platforms. Funds are disbursed after acceptance, without waiting for the demo day.

This is the 7th batch. The officials stated that the previous six batches invested in over 250 companies, totaling over $300 million, with FLORA, Hedra, and Runware starting from this program. The last batch had nearly 10,000 investors interacting with companies. The demo day is only open to invited investors, while an online platform covers early-stage investors.

The buyers are early-stage funds and individual investors present at the event, while the sellers are the over 80 companies that just completed 12 weeks. The event is driven by a concentrated roadshow rather than individual financing announcements. The first $500,000 has already been invested by a16z at the time of acceptance, and the demo day transactions pertain to the next round of funding. Teams that can present their progress as terms benefit on the day, while those in the same batch that do not secure follow-up investments face pressure, as comparisons occur in the same room.

Public information did not provide the number of transactions, valuations, or individual financing amounts on that day. What can be verified is the scale: over 80 companies, over 1000 investors, over 30,000 applications, and an initial $500,000 for 10% equity.
