In this narrative, "economic freedom" points to three mechanisms: individuals can directly control assets through private keys; assets can be transferred across different jurisdictions; fixed supply rules reduce the impact of a single currency issuer expanding supply. However, these attributes do not eliminate price volatility, loss of private keys, risks from trading platforms, tax obligations, regulatory restrictions, and network usage costs; whether Bitcoin can become a tool for intergenerational wealth still depends on long-term adoption, market liquidity, regulatory environment, and individual risk tolerance.

In market mechanisms, long-term holders, corporate finance departments, ETF investors, and some savers in high-inflation areas are buyers of the Bitcoin scarcity narrative; miners, custodians, exchanges, ETF issuers, and financial product providers sell network security, liquidity, custody, and capital market access. If more institutions view Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset, spot supply will be locked and increase market sensitivity to new funds; if macro liquidity tightens, leverage is forced to unwind, or regulatory restrictions expand, price volatility and financing pressure will first transmit to highly leveraged holders.
