Pipecat CEO Kwindla Hultman Kramer announced the launch of Pipecat 1.0—an AI application framework for real-time, multi-modal, and multi-model use. After two years of development, it has become the most widely used voice agent infrastructure, supported by contributions from NVIDIA, major AI labs, AWS, GCP, and Azure. The framework has been adopted by thousands of startups and enterprises, becoming a core tool for the next generation of multi-agent systems.
Kramer also released Pipecat Subagents v0.1.0, designed to run multiple inference loops in parallel within a shared context environment, forming an event bus-style collaborative structure. This mechanism provides a technical pathway for internal orchestration of multi-agent systems. Another experimental project based on this framework, "Gradient Bang," has also officially launched to validate the stability and interaction capabilities of the Subagent architecture.
