Binance Launches US Stock Trading Portal on Platform

Binance officially announced the launch of a US stock trading portal on social media.

Users can now trade over 7,000 US stocks and ETFs with a single account, starting from a minimum of $5, with no commission. Payments in crypto are supported, including USDT, USDC, and BNB, with trading hours of 24/5.

Market Mechanism: Non-US users can purchase real US stock shares through partnerships with external brokers, with funds flowing from crypto assets to traditional stock assets. Binance benefits from user retention and increased cross-asset trading volume, while traditional brokers face competitive pressure from crypto platforms.

Additional Data: Partners include Alpaca Securities, which will automatically handle dividends, and full securities lending services will be launched on June 4.

Binance has previously entered the US stock market through tokenized products like bStocks. The launch of real stock trading is a key step in its expansion from derivatives to spot assets. Earlier, during the CZ era, it emphasized building a "super app" to integrate crypto and traditional finance.

In terms of capital flow, Binance leverages its existing user traffic and crypto capital pool to directly connect with external brokers for US stock access. The motivation is to enhance user stickiness and capture transaction fees and asset management income from traditional brokerage businesses, while paving the way for future tokenization on the bStocks chain.

Similar to how Robinhood attracted young users to US stocks through zero commissions and crypto payments, Binance is currently transitioning from a crypto exchange to a multi-asset platform, aiming to become a one-stop entry point for global retail investment.

Structural Judgment: This essentially represents a restructuring of the industry chain. Crypto platforms utilize low-cost customer acquisition advantages and 24/5 trading characteristics to break down geographical and temporal barriers of traditional brokers, achieving a transfer of pricing power from traditional institutions to tech platforms through the bidirectional flow of funds and users.

In a world where traffic is king, entry points are more valuable than assets.
Zero commission is not a discount, but a way to turn user time into long-term compound interest.
Cross-industry is not integration, but using new leverage to harvest the inefficiencies of old structures.
