Benji Taylor, head of design at X and SpaceXAI, stated that Liquid Glass will still launch on X. The reason given is to ensure the best experience, meaning every detail must be polished. The post does not include a date, version number, or platform scope.

This is a reiteration of his statement from June 11. On that day, he wrote that the team would certainly bring Liquid Glass to the iOS version of X, but it must be done correctly, polishing the details and not releasing a half-finished product. Both times he used the phrase "polishing details" without providing a launch window.

Liquid Glass is the interface material introduced by Apple at the 2025 Developer Conference for the next generation of systems, relying on transparency, refraction, and layering to distinguish controls, initially landing on the system interfaces of iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Applications need to follow, typically waiting for system interfaces to stabilize before modifying navigation, labels, and pop-ups. In June, Taylor specified the scope as iOS, but in October, he did not mention the platform again.

There has been no public version for about four months. Some users in replies have interpreted the repeated "will still come, currently polishing" as indicating it is not ready yet. Taylor did not respond to what specific part is missing, nor did he show any screenshots.

The only verifiable information comes from the design head's two confirmations: the direction has not been canceled, quality is prioritized over speed, and iOS was named as the first platform in June. There are no store update notes, no gray scale, and no links to advertising or subscription revisions.

This is not a feature release. The buyers are iOS users waiting for the new system interface to be applied; the sellers are the X design team, unwilling to release a half-finished version to avoid mismatching with the system materials. The event is driven by the confirmation of delays, not the launch of the interface. The beneficiaries are those who will release the transparent layering in a usable version; the pressure is on daily users who have already seen Liquid Glass in the system but still use old controls in X. There are no price changes or seat changes.
