Community members publicly claimed that the contact person for the World Liberty Financial wallet previously stated that the app had already been developed but was stuck in legal and compliance issues, suggesting there were greater benefits than just the wallet; a year later, the posts from the other party cannot be opened, and the official app has still not been delivered.

Screenshots show that the conversation took place between September 26 and 28, 2025. The other party asked if the app could be launched in September, to which the response was that the app was already completed but needed to go through legal and compliance due to added new features, with timing depending on regulation. When pressed about whether TikTok and Apple Pay were the main Web2 partners, the other party stated that all Web2 matters could not be disclosed due to legal responsibilities and emphasized that Web2 compliance is different from Web3, noting that normal companies take years to negotiate, with the fastest being several months.

The official website still lists the WLFI App as coming soon: promoting the ability to use wallets or bank accounts to spend crypto assets and access liquidity at any time. Currently available are the stablecoin USD1, WLFI Markets supported by Dolomite, and the AgentPay software toolkit. Most of the “WLFI wallets” found in the market are third-party custodial or hardware products, not the project's own application.

The verifiable “benefit” from the project side is subsidizing USD1 with WLFI: a points program distributing 8.4 million WLFI to early holders and trading users; Binance wallet activities offering 16 million WLFI as rewards for deposits, lending, and market-making USD1; market products distributing WLFI weekly based on USD1 deposits. The community accuses this pathway of being a one-way extraction of governance tokens to support the circulation of stablecoins, with USD1 not providing equivalent benefits back to wallet users.

WLFI reached a peak of about $0.33 around September 1, 2025, and has since remained in the range of $0.05 to $0.06. The circulating market cap has fallen from its peak to around $1.8 billion to $3 billion, fluctuating based on the valuation point. The DeFi narrative associated with the Trump family, exchange listings, and stablecoin expansion are still ongoing, but consumer-grade applications have not appeared in the downloadable list of app stores.

In market mechanics, what is being bought are USD1 deposits and trading volumes, while what is being sold are unapproved expectations for Web2 entry. Funds are flowing from holders wanting wallets, payment cards, and Apple Pay stories to stablecoin points and market-making rewards. The beneficiaries are those needing scale for USD1 and treasury capable of issuing tokens; the pressured party is the holders waiting for the “app is ready, just waiting for compliance” to be launched. If the contact person is indeed missing, the loss is the regional communication interface, not the on-chain reserves themselves; the loss of the app not launching for a year is the loss of delivery credibility.
