Standard Chartered Bank Says Its $100 Price Target for Uniswap Token UNI by 2030 May Be Too Low
Standard Chartered Says UNI $100 Target May Be Too Low
Standard Chartered Bank stated that its price target of $100 for the Uniswap token UNI by 2030 may be too low.
Analysts pointed out that since the activation of the Robinhood Chain-related fee switch, the rate of UNI burn has roughly doubled, with an annualized burn of about $89.1 million.
The Robinhood Chain contributes approximately 60% of the protocol's revenue.
The current burn rate is equivalent to about 4% of the circulating supply, and even with a target of $6.5 by the end of 2026, the annualized burn still reaches 2.2%, indicating a long-term high.
More similar collaborations may further increase the scale of burns.
In terms of market mechanisms, protocol revenue is directly converted into token burns, reducing circulating supply, and directing funds and trading flows to DeFi protocols with actual value capture; beneficiaries are UNI holders and the Uniswap ecosystem, while competitors with supply inflation or no burn mechanisms are under pressure.

Standard Chartered previously set a $100 target for UNI in June based on tokenized assets entering DeFi and fee burn mechanisms. This adjustment is due to the actual fee contribution from the Robinhood Chain exceeding expectations, continuing the institutional path of repricing DeFi tokens with actual income and burn.
In terms of capital flow, protocol fees directly reduce supply through programmatic burns, creating deflationary pressure; the motivation is to capture on-chain transaction value and return it to the tokens, strategically positioning Uniswap as a liquidity infrastructure for tokenized assets.
Similar cases can be seen in other DeFi protocols with fee capture and burn mechanisms being revalued; currently, DeFi is transitioning from speculative flows to actual income and supply deflation verification.
The structural judgment indicates a transfer of pricing power: protocols with sustainable burns receive higher valuation anchors, as the mechanism shifts tokens from governance tools to assets with cash flow attributes when income directly translates to reduced supply.

Real burns support valuation more than narratives.
Contributions from collaborative chains can rewrite price targets.
If the deflation rate becomes too high, targets will be revised upwards.
