DeFi Asset Management and Risk Analysis Company Gauntlet Completes $125 Million Financing with Exclusive Investment from SBI Holdings

DeFi asset management and risk analysis company Gauntlet has completed a $125 million financing, exclusively invested by Japanese financial group SBI Holdings, which was finalized in June this year.

This is Gauntlet's largest round of financing since its establishment in 2018, far exceeding the $24 million Series B led by Ribbit Capital in 2022 (at that time, the valuation was $1 billion). The company was founded by former Wall Street quantitative trader Tarun Chitra.

Gauntlet initially focused on stress testing and vulnerability analysis for DeFi protocols, later transforming into a "vault curation" business, helping institutions manage digital asset allocations through quantitative analysis. Current clients include Apollo, Coinbase, and Circle.
