Binance founder Changpeng Zhao stated that he does not often post semi-nude photos, but he did this time. He wrote that he is 49 years old, did not use artificial intelligence or photo editing, and it is purely a human effort.

He then shifted the comparison from wealth rankings and sports cars to health. His exact words encouraged people to compare health rather than wealth rankings or Lamborghinis. He further wrote that more health and more family are the true wealth and happiness.

The post did not include any products, tokens, or trading instructions. The photo was defined by him as unedited and ungenerated. The age of 49 corresponds to his current age since his birth on September 10, 1977.

Zhao resigned as CEO of Binance in 2023, subsequently pleaded guilty to anti-money laundering violations in the U.S. and served time, being released in 2025. Binance remains one of the largest cryptocurrency trading platforms by trading volume, with its platform token being BNB. His current public identity is more of a shareholder and spokesperson, rather than an everyday operator.

This content shifted from market posts to body display. The benchmarks he named were wealth rankings and sports cars, not the shares of a particular exchange. The post used a joking tone while incorporating family into the definition of wealth.

Attention has shifted from price rankings to personal image. Buyers interpret his statements as directional for platform users, while sellers rely on wealth displays to attract customers in the crypto space. The event was driven by his own image posting, with no on-chain transactions. The beneficiary is Binance's narrative, which can still leverage his personal traffic, while those relying on sports cars and rankings for credibility face pressure.
