AI × Web3 School Applications Heat Up

One week after opening applications, the AI × Web3 School has attracted a large number of builders with backgrounds in AI, Web3, product, research, and founding to submit applications.

Among the applicants, 70.8% clearly wish to actually build projects, 74.5% plan to participate in the Hackathon, and over half are willing to invest more than 2 hours a day. The project is sponsored by Z.AI and co-sponsored by Cobo, officially starting on the evening of May 17 and closing applications on May 19.

In terms of market mechanisms, builders in the intersecting fields of AI and Web3 are accelerating their gathering, with funding and talent shifting from conceptual discussions to actual project building and Hackathons. This trend drives capital towards cross-sectional areas such as Agent Payments, AI-native Wallets, and Onchain Automation.

AI × Web3 School is launched by the Web3Career Build platform. This wave of high willingness to apply continues the trend of combining AI Agents with on-chain execution since 2025, focusing not on following trends but on helping builders quickly find entry points, form teams, and produce demos/MVPs.

In terms of capital pathways, Z.AI and Cobo are investing resources into Bootcamp shared language building and real challenge scenarios for Hackathons through technical support and sponsorship, motivated by the incubation of feasible infrastructures such as Agent payments, AI-native wallets, and verifiable execution, accelerating the transition from idea to operational prototype.

Similar cases include previous AI×Web3 Hackathons quickly gathering developers, as well as privacy and execution support provided by projects like Phala and Elytro. The current AI×Web3 track is transitioning from a narrative phase to large-scale practical implementation by builders.

Essentially, this represents a restructuring of the industrial chain: the fragmented development of AI and Web3 is being replaced by the integration of Agent-native on-chain execution. The fundamental mechanism is that Agents require infrastructure such as wallet authorization, on-chain payments, and verifiable execution. Only through systematic Bootcamps and Hackathons can builders establish a common language and quickly validate scenarios, achieving a structural transformation from concept accumulation to truly native AI×Web3 applications.

The temperature of the trend changes from "interest" to "willing to invest 2 hours a day hands-on" to truly begin. A good learning project does not attract onlookers but gathers a group of builders ready to turn ideas into MVPs. When cross-domain talents actively form teams, AI×Web3 transitions from concept to an investable and implementable stage.
