According to the official statement, after binding their X account, the system will automatically create an X developer account for users who do not yet have one. Additionally, an independent X plugin (plugin ID 49086599) is provided for searching posts, reading timelines, tracking trending topics, and managing bookmarks. xAI stated in the announcement that this is "the first version of this integration feature" and expressed intentions to continuously enable Grok Bot to "perform real work" on X.

Paid Grok Bot users will receive free X API credits for initial experience after completing account binding, covering initial costs for search, timeline reading, and other interface calls; the report did not disclose specific credit amounts.

The currently verified core capabilities focus on "reading and monitoring": capturing account mentions, reading followed timelines, tracking platform trending topics, and generating briefings based on trends and dynamics.
