In response to OpenAI's plan to stop direct supply on November 12 due to SpaceX's acquisition of Cursor, Elon Musk stated that he doesn't care at all, and he described OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman as completely untrustworthy, accusing the two of stealing from a non-profit open-source organization.

The OpenAI website has stated that after the change of control, they will exercise termination with the longest notice period, citing that Musk's companies have violated the contract; it also pointed out contract disputes after the acquisition of Twitter, and during this year's trial, Musk swore that xAI had violated service terms similar to those of OpenAI. Cursor was integrated into SpaceX about two weeks ago. Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 and left the board in 2018, later suing Altman, Brockman, and the company for deviating from its non-profit mission, shifting to a profit-oriented structure, and bringing in Microsoft, with claims that once reached hundreds of billions of dollars, but the jury dismissed it due to the statute of limitations. In trial materials, Brockman's diary contained a self-reminder that "stealing a non-profit organization from him would be moral bankruptcy," which is similar to Musk's long-used phrase "stealing a charity." Both sides have repeatedly called each other fraudsters and accused each other of trying to seize control on public platforms. Cursor continues to provide Grok and several laboratory models; OpenAI stated that the most affected are developers within the editor, and support will be provided during the transition period.

"Doesn't care" reframes the supply cut from a product event to a personal grievance downgrade. Distrust and the accusation of stealing a non-profit are old issues, not new contract terms. The interface will still close on November 12 as per the notice period, and whether Grok and the self-developed Composer will fill the evaluation position does not depend on this response.

In market mechanisms, this is an escalation of confrontation, not a new delivery. The buyer wants to keep the model at its own entry point, OpenAI, while the seller is SpaceX, which has already purchased the distribution entry. Funds do not flow back due to a statement of "doesn't care," and developer traffic will default to a new model during the notice period. The beneficiaries are the exposure windows for Grok and Composer, while the pressured party is the workspace still tied to OpenAI routing within Cursor. If the $60 billion acquisition valuation includes "can still access first-line laboratories," the supply cut removes this expectation; the founder's statement of indifference is a refusal to let the removed part become a bargaining chip.

In supplementary statements, OpenAI has written safety and scale compliance as prerequisites for large customer custom contracts, while Musk has framed the same issue as a personal accusation.
