The Ronin Waypoint wallet will stop operations, with the final migration deadline set for October 16. After the deadline, assets remaining in Waypoint may become inaccessible, and migration will not be executed automatically; assets will remain in the original wallet until users transfer them out themselves.

Accounts affected include those that have used social login, keyless, or multi-party computation wallets. Waypoint is also known as Social Login, Keyless, or MPC wallets. Users who only use mnemonic wallets will not be affected. Users need to open the Waypoint panel themselves, look for wallets labeled as Keyless, and check remaining assets along with accounts that have already switched to other wallets.

There are two destination options. Those continuing to use email or social login will migrate to Ronin Stash, a keyless wallet supported by Privy, where the migration page will automatically generate a new address. Those willing to manage their private keys themselves will transfer to the Ronin Wallet protected by a mnemonic. An announcement in June set the deadline for September 30, which was previously extended from September 16; Axie reminded users again on October 2, setting the final deadline for October 16.

bAXS and badges do not follow the same migration path. Users must log into the migration page within the Axie app using their Waypoint account holding assets, bind the mnemonic wallet to their Axie account, verify badges and bAXS, and check the box "I understand this operation can only be completed once"; if there is bAXS, it must be authorized before signing. Once binding is complete, badges will be permanently transferred to the bound mnemonic wallet. Badges attached to assets will transfer along with the assets, which can be completed through the wallet or Ronin migration portal.

The official request is to verify that the target wallet has received the assets after migration and to check back to see if there are any omissions in Waypoint. Accounts that have not seen notifications or have not logged in for a long time are at the highest risk, as assets will not be transferred on their behalf.

This is an on-chain transfer driven by the custody switch, not a secondary market transaction. The seller does not exist; the transferring party is the social login and multi-party computation accounts in Waypoint, and the receiving party is the new address of Ronin Stash or the mnemonic wallet. Funds flow from the old keyless custody layer to the Privy-supported Stash or to the user-held private key. Beneficiaries are those who complete the migration and the login portal of Stash; those under pressure are accounts that have not operated by the deadline, the one-time binding of bAXS and badges, and applications that have not yet connected to Stash.
