OKX Onchain OS Launches Agent Payments Protocol to Enable Autonomous On-Chain Payments and Transactions by AI Agents
OKX Onchain OS officially launched the Agent Payments Protocol (APP) yesterday, enabling AI Agents to autonomously execute on-chain payments and transactions.
Over twenty public chains, infrastructure, and AI projects, including Paxos, Solana, Aptos, Pharos Network, Nansen, Sui, 0G Labs, HeySorin AI, RootData, Corbits, QuickNode, Otto AI, Ethy AI, AltLayer, pieverse, Optimism, Surf AI, KITE AI, Mesh, Sahara AI, Teneo Protocol, Zerion, Alibaba Cloud, and Uniswap, have publicly expressed support.
AI Agent developers will integrate the APP protocol, shifting funding from traditional manual/wallet payments to AI Agents executing payments on-chain autonomously. OKX Onchain OS and the supporting ecosystem will benefit, while centralized payments and traditional wallets face replacement pressure from the Agent era.

OKX has been continuously laying out Agent infrastructure through Onchain OS, and the release of the APP protocol continues its transformation from an exchange to an "AI-native on-chain operating system." It has previously collaborated deeply with multiple chains and AI projects to build an Agent-friendly environment.
In terms of capital pathways, OKX standardizes and opens the payment layer, allowing ecosystem partners to access the protocol for direct Agent invocation of payments, settlements, and executions, forming a closed loop of "Agent decision → on-chain instant payment → fee/liquidity return," accelerating the concentration of AI capital towards public chains and infrastructure supported by OKX.
Similar to how Supabase integrates with Codex and Ripple RLUSD expands, OKX is in the early stages of transforming on-chain payments from "manual triggers" to "AI Agent autonomous payments," having quickly gained support from over twenty institutions across various fields.
Essentially, this represents a technological replacement: the traditional payment mechanism reliant on user manual signatures or centralized approvals is replaced by AI Agent autonomous authorization execution in the APP protocol. OKX, in collaboration with multiple ecosystems, upgrades the blockchain payment layer to an Agent-native programmable infrastructure, reconstructing the on-chain economy from a "human-driven transaction" to an "Agent-driven autonomous economic activity" delivery mechanism.
