CZ to Attend Bhutan EASY Residency Demo Day Next Week
Binance founder CZ announced that the Demo Day event for the fourth season of EASY Residency will be held next week in Bhutan, where he will attend in person.
The Demo Day, hosted by YZi Labs, is scheduled to open on August 26 at 11:45 (GMT+8). CZ will have a fireside chat with YZi Labs head Ella Zhang, followed by presentations from 25 founders showcasing projects in stablecoins, payments, DeFi, AI, and cutting-edge technology.
YZi Labs also announced that applications for the fifth season are officially open, with a deadline of September 13. Selected projects can receive up to $500,000 in investment, including a $150,000 SAFE for 5% equity and an additional $350,000 SAFE with no cap, along with the opportunity for up to $2 million in extra investment.
The fifth season will last for 10 weeks, with the first 5 weeks online and the last 5 weeks in-person in Thailand. Accommodation, meals, and workspace will be fully covered, with priority areas including programmable capital and on-chain markets, AI infrastructure and computing economy, AI interfaces and consumer layers, as well as AI × biology and programmable science.
EASY Residency has previously completed multiple seasons of incubation, supporting over 65 startup projects in total. The fourth season marks the first time the complete founder cohort will relocate to Gelephu Mindfulness City in Bhutan for residency development.
The intersectional accelerator for crypto and AI continues to attract early-stage funding and talent, directing resources towards programmable capital and computing infrastructure. Beneficiaries include founder teams with implementation capabilities and the YZi Labs portfolio, while traditional Web3 projects lacking differentiation face pressure.
