Trump stated on social media that Blad played a "key role" in pushing congressional legislation during the government's efforts, specifically mentioning his involvement in advancing the "Great and Beautiful Act," two government shutdown standoffs, the GENIUS Act, blocking multiple war powers resolutions, and expediting cabinet member confirmation processes.

Blad has been the main liaison between the White House West Wing and Capitol Hill during Trump's second term, serving longer than the four legislative affairs directors in Trump's first administration; his next step is expected to transition to the private sector.
