Alexis Ohanian announced that the Los Angeles Orbit held its first official Fan Fest at the Intuit Dome, thanking the attendees and specifically acknowledging the first season ticket holders, who were allowed to choose their seats in the venue.

The team is a professional women's volleyball club entering Los Angeles as part of League One Volleyball's expansion, with its home at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, where the Clippers play, and plans to debut in the 2026-2027 season. The day before, the team unveiled its name, logo, and visual identity at the same venue, with investors Ohanian, Issa Rae, and Savannah James in attendance, and founding partner Yaamava Resort & Casino.

The Fan Fest was open to everyone for free, with the official website announcing opportunities to meet players Annie Drews Schumacher and Kotoe Inoue, purchase the first Orbit merchandise, meet volleyball legends, play volleyball, test vertical jumps, and enjoy a live DJ and food. The season ticket pathway is separate: a $50 deposit secures priority seating and initial pricing, with the website stating that season tickets start at about $15 per game.

Ohanian is also the founding controlling owner of Angel City FC, founder of the Los Angeles Golf Club and Athlos, and a minority owner of Chelsea Women's Football Club. During the expansion, he and 776 led the purchase of this seventh professional team in the LOVB and invested in the league itself. The league had previously established a youth club network, with local youth programs already in place.

The seating arrangement separates "Day One" season ticket holders from general visitors: those who paid the deposit first can choose their seats, while others participate in free activities. The brand slogan is Everything Revolves Around Her, incorporating athletes, fans, and girls in the stands into the same narrative of attraction.

In market mechanics, buyers are local families and female sports core fans willing to secure seats in advance, while sellers are the scarce initial seats and merchandise of the new club; funds flow from deposits to venue scheduling and roster building, with event-driven conversions coming from the name announcement the day after, rather than game results. Beneficiaries are the new owners who have secured NBA-level venue calendars and the league's expansion valuation, while the pressured side is the expectation to fill a new venue in Los Angeles before the season starts.

The league is simultaneously expanding from 6 teams to more cities and forming parallel competition with another professional women's volleyball league; the Los Angeles line places professional teams directly in a $2 billion venue, rather than validating in smaller venues before upgrading.
