Tesla China Launches Doubao AI Voice Assistant
Tesla China has begun rolling out the 2026.14.13 vehicle software update in batches, covering Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X, and introducing ByteDance's Doubao large model as the smart voice assistant for the first time.
The assistant supports real-time information queries and natural, smooth conversations, offering multiple voice tones and personalized roles such as "All-Knowing" and "Storyteller," which require activation of the premium in-car entertainment service.
The update mainly focuses on voice interaction upgrades, while also adding features like pet mode, as part of the localized AI deployment for the Chinese market.
