Former Hack VC partner and platform head Hsin-Ju announced that she has decided to take $0 rather than accept a settlement agreement that requires her to remain silent about what happened to her. She has fired her lawyer from Sanford Heisler and will release all evidence from her time at Hack VC on Wednesday, August 26.

She stated that she has worked in the cryptocurrency field for 9 years, recently serving as a partner and platform head at Hack VC (a $600-700 million crypto VC). She previously held the position of growth lead at Stellar, joined Solana early, and participated in ETH activities for Fhenix and Dystopia Labs.

According to her allegations, she was forced to continue working under severe medical emergencies last year due to threats from Hack VC personnel (that she would be blacklisted in the industry if she resigned before completing the Hack Summit and KBW side events). She worked 6 days a week, 13-14 hours a day, and slept 0-4 hours a night, with documented Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism, and severe insomnia. Her multiple requests to resign were denied, and the threats lasted for nearly a month, ultimately leading to a suicide attempt.

She stated that even after her suicide attempt, she informed everyone at Hack VC in writing that she had no plans to sue and just wanted to leave, provided there would be no retaliation or defamation. However, she claims the company chose to retaliate, including issues with health insurance processing after her departure.

Hack VC responded that they have noted the tweet, expressed deep concern for Hsin-Ju's health, and stated that there are significant differences in understanding the events, but they do not wish to discuss details publicly out of respect for privacy. The allegations remain one-sided statements, and the related evidence and responsibilities need further verification.
