Verifiable external numbers do not correspond directly to this statement. SpaceX's prospectus for May 2026 reported approximately 550 million combined monthly active users for X and Grok as of March of that year, lower than his estimate of about 600 million for X alone in May 2024. Third-party estimates for X's monthly active users range from approximately 540 million to 610 million. Semrush reported that x.com had about 4.06 billion visits in August 2026, a decrease of about 4.48% from approximately 4.25 billion in July, ranking 8th globally and 10th in the U.S.; the U.S. accounted for about 21.56% of visits. His personal account has about 242 million followers, still the highest on the platform, surpassing the combined total of Obama and Ronaldo.

Since the platform's privatization, it no longer discloses monetizable daily active users quarterly. The last SEC figure for Twitter in Q2 2022 was approximately 237.8 million monetizable daily active users. Advertising revenue is estimated by third parties to be about $2.26 billion in 2025, roughly half of the approximately $4.51 billion in 2021. The total creator payout was reported by him to have surpassed $1 billion by May 2026. Meta stated that Threads had about 500 million monthly active users in June 2026 and has occasionally surpassed X in some mobile daily active metrics. X continues to emphasize news distribution and webpage duration, with some comparing it to "more than the total circulation of global newspapers," while others counter with the figures of 600 million versus 2.6 billion.

Who is buying, who is selling: Buyers are purchasing the narrative that "the platform is not dead and is still innovating at new highs," while sellers are hesitant about brand safety and audited numbers from advertisers. The event is driven by controlled verbal data, with funds shifting between advertising budgets, creator payouts, and acquisition valuations. Beneficiaries are shareholders needing to prove the rationale for acquisitions, while those under pressure are brands that must buy according to SEC standards. Usage, visit counts, and auditable monthly active users have been broken down into three sets of metrics; this new high only utilized the first set.

This statement did not include an official dashboard screenshot; the 550 million figure is the combined number for X and Grok in the prospectus.
