He emphasized the desire for Ethereum to simultaneously possess UTXO-style state, dynamic state, and all the advantages between the two, deeply integrating the efficiency of Bitcoin's UTXO model in state management, light node validation, and scalability with Ethereum's flexible account model, smart contract ecosystem, and dynamic state capabilities.

Vitalik reiterated that the ultimate goal of scaling is to enable the vast majority of activities on Ethereum to achieve massive scalability without sacrificing decentralization, ease of node operation, and censorship resistance—these three core attributes.

The Ethereum roadmap is shifting from a pure pursuit of scalability to a systematic effort to find a better balance between scalability and decentralized resilience.

The new state type design includes key nonces, circular buffers, UTXOs, etc., aimed at significantly lowering fees for most use cases such as ERC20 and NFTs while retaining the existing dynamic state for complex applications.

At the market mechanism level, the scaling plan promotes the flow of funds and development resources toward infrastructure and applications that support mixed state models, with buyers focusing on long-term scalability and node friendliness, event-driven L1 capacity expectations rising, while pure L2 dependency models face pressure, benefiting mixed state-related tools.
