Trezor Integrates HyperEVM Network Support

Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has announced the integration of HyperEVM network support in its devices, allowing users to manage HYPE and other HyperEVM assets while keeping their private keys offline, with device-side verification for each transaction.

Trezor Suite now natively supports HyperEVM, which serves as the smart contract layer for Hyperliquid, based on the same HyperBFT consensus and inheriting the mainnet's security. Users can enable the network in settings to add HyperEVM accounts, view HYPE balances, tokens, and transaction history, and send and receive HYPE and supported tokens.

Hyperliquid features both HyperCore and HyperEVM execution engines, but Trezor only supports the latter. HYPE held on HyperCore will not be displayed in the Suite and must first be transferred to HyperEVM within the Hyperliquid app. Safety Checks can remain in Strict mode without lowering security levels.

Current limitations include the non-display of NFTs on HyperEVM and the lack of Blockaid transaction simulation previews. Firmware and Suite updates cover multiple Trezor device models, using standard Ethereum derivation paths and chain ID 999.

This integration provides hardware-level private key isolation and transaction confirmation for the Hyperliquid ecosystem, reducing the risks associated with hot wallet interactions in smart contracts.

From a market mechanism perspective, user assets are flowing from hot wallets or exchanges to hardware device custody, with a preference for secure infrastructure capable of offline signing; the event is driven by ecosystem expansion, benefiting hardware wallet manufacturers that support the emerging L1 smart contract layer, while hot wallets and non-native supported devices face relative pressure.
