Apple to Launch New Mac mini Possibly Before iPhone Event

Apple is set to release a new Mac mini, potentially before the September iPhone launch event. According to Mark Gurman, Apple has tested versions equipped with M5 and M6 chips.

This will be the first update to the Mac mini in nearly two years. The surge in demand is partly due to users running AI applications and models locally, leading to recent supply chain pressures and extended delivery times of several weeks or even months.

The new model may be the last product launched before Tim Cook steps down as CEO. Apple also plans to subsequently release iMacs and entry-level MacBook Pros equipped with M6 chips.

The Houston factory will begin producing some Mac minis later this year.
