Binance Accelerates Compliance Expansion in Asia, Aiming for 3 Billion Users by 2030

Binance co-CEO Richard Teng stated that the company is accelerating its license applications in Asia, building on its presence in Japan and India, and entering the local market through a partnership with Philippines' BlockShoals Technologies.

Teng clarified that the EU's withdrawal of the MiCA license application in Greece was due to approval delays rather than a strategic shift. Currently, about half of the approximately 740 million global crypto users are Binance users, with over $300 million invested in compliance annually.

In terms of market mechanisms, the allocation of compliance resources towards Asia is driving local capital inflows into the Binance ecosystem. The trend of traditional financial assets being tokenized and brought on-chain is accelerating, and the expansion of the platform's user base is attracting more institutional and retail funds to leading exchanges.
