Former Senior Researchers from Ethereum Foundation Establish Non-Profit Ethlabs to Drive Ethereum's Next Growth Phase and Prepare for Institutional Adoption
Several former senior researchers from the Ethereum Foundation have established a non-profit organization called Ethlabs, aimed at driving Ethereum into its next phase of growth and preparing for institutional adoption. The organization has the support of Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin, as well as BitMine and SharpLink.
Ethlabs was co-founded by five former senior researchers from the Ethereum Foundation, who have participated in several key upgrades of Ethereum over the past decade. Their initial work focuses on the content needed for large-scale institutional on-chain adoption, with the goal of ensuring Ethereum can accommodate demands for stablecoins, tokenized RWA, funds, and autonomous AI commerce, promoting faster Ethereum and trusted interoperability.
Joe Lubin stated that Ethereum is entering the next stage of evolution, where multiple management nodes configured in different ways are expected to emerge. Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine, pointed out that Ethereum is likely to see significant growth in institutional and AI agent adoption, and the ecosystem needs to expand talent and research investment.
