Ethereum Organization Celebrates 11th Anniversary of Mainnet

The Ethereum organization published a statement celebrating the 11th anniversary of the Ethereum mainnet, stating that it has never interrupted block production since its launch on July 30, 2015.

The network has become a settlement layer for stablecoins, holding over half of the stablecoin supply and occupying the largest share of decentralized real-world assets.

Institutional funds continue to flow into the Ethereum ecosystem, with DeFi locked value approximately 8 times that of the second-largest chain, and the scale of developers strengthening in line with the status of institutional trading entry.

The Ethereum organization was formed by former members of the Ethereum Foundation's corporate team and began independent operations in July 2026, receiving funding support from BitMine, SharpLink, and co-founder Joseph Lubin, focusing on connecting banks and asset managers.

After the funding path was separated from the foundation's internal corporate functions, it shifted to an independent non-profit framework, covering New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and expanding to Zurich, Frankfurt, and other locations, aiming to further solidify institutional relationships from over 500 firms.

A similar path can be seen in the early promotion of the Bitcoin Foundation and the subsequent differentiation of independent industry organizations; Ethereum is currently in a transitional phase from protocol development to institutional entry control.

This essentially belongs to the restructuring of the industry chain, where independent organizations take on the function of connecting institutions after the foundation reduces core development, lowering the risk of a single entity and accelerating the migration of traditional financial settlement layers.
