Uniswap Launches Earn Yield Product Supporting USDC and Others
Uniswap has announced that its yield product Earn is now available on web applications and wallets, allowing users to deposit USDC, USDT, and ETH to earn yields without leaving Uniswap.
The product initially supports the Ethereum mainnet, with funds allocated to on-chain lending markets, where interest paid by borrowers is converted into user earnings; it uses a self-custody model, requiring a single signature to complete deposits, with no lock-up or cooling-off period, allowing users to exit at any time. The underlying treasury is provided by Morpho and managed by Gauntlet. Uniswap does not charge usage fees, and users only need to pay network fees.
This event-driven approach channels idle assets into on-chain lending markets, with funds flowing from user wallets to the Morpho treasury, benefiting depositors and lending protocols, while putting pressure on traditional centralized yield products.

Uniswap has previously strengthened its trading entry through UniswapX and cross-chain expansion, and this time introduces the Morpho treasury and Gauntlet risk control, continuing its evolution from a pure DEX to a comprehensive DeFi front end.
Earn directly allocates user funds to on-chain lending markets, with capital flow relying on interest generated from borrowing demand, aiming to enhance user stickiness and capture yield scenarios for idle assets, while maintaining complete self-custody to reduce compliance and trust costs.
Similar "trading + yield" one-stop models have appeared in Aave and Compound front-end integration cases, as well as in Earn products on centralized platforms like Coinbase. Currently, DeFi is in a phase of expanding from trading protocols to comprehensive asset management entry points.
This essentially represents a restructuring of the industry chain: DEX entry integrates lending yield layers, mechanically reducing user operational friction through self-custody treasuries, allowing trading traffic to be directly converted into interest-bearing asset pools.
