Vercel Launches Agent SEO Scoring Tool
Vercel Developers have launched is-agentic.com, a tool specifically designed to test a website's suitability for AI Agents, providing an Agent Readiness Score.
The tool runs over 100 checks covering capabilities such as Agent discovery and reading of web pages, structured interfaces, APIs, OAuth, MCP, GraphQL, and more. In the official examples, Ora scored 98, Vercel 90, Stripe 80, OpenAI and GitHub 72, Linear 64, and Anthropic 62.
After identifying issues, it can directly generate repair prompts for Coding Agents. It offers the CLI command npx is-agentic , a public API, and MCP Server.
Vercel describes this as a new metric for websites, assessing whether AI can effectively use the site.
In terms of market mechanisms, the development platform is pushing websites to transition to Agent-friendly formats, with funding and attention shifting from traditional SEO to Agent accessibility. Beneficiaries include the Vercel ecosystem and Agent toolchain, while those under pressure are websites with unoptimized structured interfaces.
Supplementary data shows that the tool is based on Ora's research and supports visualizing the Agent usage process.

As a front-end deployment platform, Vercel has long optimized the developer experience, and this time it incorporates Agent readability as a core metric. The tool collaborates with Ora to directly output executable repair prompts, lowering the optimization threshold.
In terms of capital pathways, Vercel promotes developers to adjust website structures through free tools and CLI, motivated by the goal of enabling more sites to adapt to the Agent economy, thereby enhancing the Agent compatibility and traffic potential of applications on its platform.
Similar cases can be seen with Google promoting Core Web Vitals and mobile friendliness. We are currently in a transitional phase where search and operations are shifting from humans to Agents.
Structural judgment represents a technological replacement: traditional SEO is being replaced by Agent readability metrics, where the mechanism is that structured data and API exposure determine whether Agents can complete tasks, forcing websites to transition from human UX to machine-executable UX.
