Uniswap Announces Launch of pools.trade Token Issuance Platform

Uniswap has announced pools.trade, with a countdown on the page indicating that the token issuance platform will officially launch soon.

It has been previously discovered that pools.trade is related to Robinhood Chain, positioning the product to shift Uniswap from a trading entry point to a token issuance entry point.

Buying pressure will flow to the new token issuance platform, on-chain market making, and early project distribution, while selling pressure will come from existing launchpads and platforms reliant on liquidity diversion; this indicates that issuance rights are migrating from a single DEX to upstream.

This is not the first time Uniswap has expanded upstream; it initially occupied secondary trading with AMM, then made v4 and hooks into a more flexible liquidity framework, and now it is extending its reach to token issuance. This path indicates that it is upgrading from "matching trades" to "deciding who can issue, how to issue, and where to go after issuance."

If pools.trade materializes as rumored, it will integrate issuance, initial liquidity, migration, and trading into the same mechanism; this will bring project parties, market makers, and users into Uniswap's own traffic loop, similar to how exchanges integrate IEOs, market making, and spot listings, but this time it occurs on-chain.

Comparable historical cases include front-end innovations like Pump.fun and Friend.tech capturing distribution entry points, as well as Coinbase's integration approach for listing and custody; currently, Uniswap is in the "from protocol to platform" stage, where the core is not just adding a product, but attracting users from other token issuance platforms.

Essentially, this represents a reconstruction of the industry chain: when the issuance entry, liquidity pools, and trading depth are bound by the same system, value will shift from merely swap fees to full-chain commissions. The reason this is happening is that the key to competition for on-chain assets has shifted from "who can trade" to "who can be seen first, issued first, and gain liquidity first."
