TeleSwap Suspected of $735,000 Attack, Project Remains Silent
On-chain detective ZachXBT reported that the cross-chain bridge project TeleSwap was allegedly attacked on July 15, 2026, resulting in over $735,000 in losses. However, five days after the incident, the project team has not publicly disclosed any related information.
Shortly after suspicious funds began to flow out, TeleSwap's Bitcoin hot wallet stopped processing transactions, and about two hours ago, the attacker transferred the related funds to Tornado Cash.
This incident has prompted cross-chain bridge users to accelerate withdrawals and shift towards more transparent projects. The hacker seeks to anonymize and cash out through mixers, while compliant bridging platforms benefit from a trust premium. TeleSwap faces dual pressure on its reputation and liquidity.

ZachXBT has previously exposed security incidents involving cross-chain bridges and DeFi projects. This on-chain tracking of TeleSwap continues its history of monitoring fund flows as an independent detective.
In terms of capital flow, the attacker quickly transferred funds using a hot wallet vulnerability and laundered them through Tornado Cash. The project's silence has led to further outflow of user funds, indicating a motive for short-term arbitrage rather than long-term operation, highlighting the insufficient resource allocation for security audits and transparent disclosures in cross-chain infrastructure.
Similar to multiple cases between 2022 and 2024 where project teams delayed disclosures after cross-chain bridge hacks, leading to increased losses, TeleSwap is currently in a transitional phase from rapid expansion to a security trust crisis in DeFi bridging projects.
Structural Judgment Essentially belongs to regulatory changes and capital concentration: Frequent on-chain attacks drive funds towards projects that are audited, transparent, and disclose information in a timely manner. Mechanically, this stems from users' rapid responses to security incidents under information asymmetry, accelerating the elimination of low transparency participants and raising overall security standards.
