SpaceXAI Launches Grokipedia v0.3 on grokipedia.com with New Branding, Book-style Homepage, and Real-time Editing Page

Grokipedia Refreshes Interface and Opens Real-time Revision Tracking

SpaceXAI has launched Grokipedia v0.3 on grokipedia.com, featuring a new logo, a book-style homepage, and a real-time editing page where users can suggest revisions, which Grok will verify against sources.

The homepage has expanded from a "logo plus search box" to a rotating selection of digital book covers, a horizontally scrolling "most read" shelf, and the latest approved revision tracking; the site reports 6,092,140 entries and 1,175,853 approved revisions. The article page has tightened line spacing, redesigned the top key facts table, while the main structure of entries remains largely unchanged. v0.1 started on October 27, 2025, with about 885,279 machine-written entries, and v0.2 added the suggestion layer on November 21, 2025.

The editing model still prohibits readers from directly rewriting: logged-in users submit suggestions, which Grok can approve, reject, or suspend, without publicly disclosing the complete diff. After a hiatus, suggestions have been reprocessed, such as adding the October 6 release date for Gears of War: E-Day; there is also a new entry request for the Meta Muse chatbot under review. Some high-traffic pages have new "Grok fact-check" timestamps, while other pages remain stuck on checks from about seven months ago, with refreshes not synchronizing across the entire site.

Design lead Benji Taylor described this as a "refreshed Grokipedia," mentioning collaboration with Diego Pasini, with further changes planned. Elon Musk retweeted the launch information and called for joining SpaceXAI, with the long-term goal still being to rename it to Encyclopedia Galactica once the content is deemed sufficient. In January 2026, the site added images, information boxes, and knowledge panels, and can be installed as a progressive web app.

After April 24, 2026, reviews and automatic revisions temporarily halted: public records show about 13,002 suggestions stuck in review, and about 8,658 approved but not incorporated into the text; thereafter, human submissions still enter the queue at about 216 per week. In August, analysis indicated that sampled pages had not seen text changes since April. In late September, the real-time page reintroduced records like "recheck all references and sources," with v0.3 creating an interface to view more changes simultaneously.

In market mechanisms, this is a product restart driving attention back, not a turnover of trading funds. What is bought is an "entry that is browsable and visible for revisions happening"; what is sold is the perception of a frozen encyclopedia after months of inactivity. Traffic and indexing had risen with the expansion of entries, but there was also a claim of over 6 million entries versus search engine indexing gaps. Beneficiaries include SpaceXAI's knowledge product line, which needs public recruitment and brand survival; under pressure are the Wikipedia-style crowdsourced editing rights, and readers whose trust has not yet been restored after a backlog of suggestions.

The path of Grokipedia did not emerge from a blank editing minister. In October 2025, it first generated nearly 890,000 machine-written entries based on high-traffic Wikipedia entries, then pushed the library capacity to claim 6 million within six months; in November 2025, the suggestion layer was added, in January 2026, visual components were supplemented, and from March to April 2026, automatic revisions and manual suggestion reviews were halted, only to be reactivated in September. This aligns with the product habit of first scaling up, then going silent, and later using the interface to prove "still alive," while leaving the "final renaming to Encyclopedia Galactica" for when it is good enough to change the brand.

Resource mobilization does not rely on foundation donations and volunteer shifts, but on model computing power, design teams, and entry distribution: generating, verifying against sources, and pushing approved records to the homepage's real-time section. The motivation is to transform knowledge products from a search box into a browsable collection, while using "suggestions must pass the model" to retain direct rewriting rights. Strategically, this concentrates review rights within the model, making visible activity a proof of growth, rather than returning editing rights to entry discussion pages.

This position is close to the second phase of early machine encyclopedias: the library capacity has been expanded, control has not yet been transferred, and it is using visuals and activity flows for transformation packaging. Compared to Wikipedia's crowdsourced discussion pages, Google knowledge panels incorporating facts into search sidebars, and early auto-generated sites rushing for indexing before facing quality degradation, Grokipedia binds "generation + gatekeeping + displaying revisions" into the same product, currently in a control phase after expansion, rather than an open co-governance phase.

Structurally, this represents a transfer of pricing power. The correctness of entries is no longer priced by community votes but by the model's approval rate against sources; the interface refresh displays the pricing process, reducing the discount on attention from the perception that "the site is dead." The mechanism is: whoever controls the review gate controls the update rhythm of knowledge products and the arrangement of visible truths; scale can be piled up first, trust can only be restored one record at a time based on approval records.

  1. Scale can go live first, trust can only be accounted for by review

  2. When rewriting rights are not granted, displaying revisions itself is the product

  3. The pricing power of knowledge follows the gate, not the entry
