Engineer Kyle Truong Announces Joining SpaceXAI's X Team to Build X Everything API, Emphasizing Learning and Delivery

Kyle Truong Joins X Everything API

Engineer Kyle Truong announced that he has joined the X team under SpaceXAI, working with Santiago and Chris Park to build the X Everything API, emphasizing learning and delivery.

The Everything API is internally described as a unified interface for developers and agents, covering real-time posts and events, historical retrieval, post and interaction management, interaction and audience data, as well as a rich layer that structures original content. Recruitment materials state that X's weekly active content is in the billions, and the interface aims to enable external products and agent workflows to read and write on the platform. The team is based in Palo Alto.

Chris Park is responsible for the developer platform, recently pushing for a globally available, usage-based MCP service aimed at agents, along with Python and TypeScript toolkits and interface playgrounds. Santiago publicly stated that he is building the Everything API to enable agents to work both inside and outside X, and has launched the advertising side MCP, with developer applications needing to be linked to advertising projects for use. Another engineer reported that they have also been working on the Everything API, enhancing products and agent processes with X.

xAI was established in 2023 and was acquired by SpaceX in early 2026, integrating into a vertical stack: ground gigawatt-level training clusters, Grok models, consumer and enterprise AI products, and X as a real-time information stream. Roadshow materials state that X has approximately 350 million posts daily, with Grok and X combined having about 550 million monthly active users. The interface is positioned to sell this real-time stream to external developers and agents, rather than just serving the internal Grok.

The X interface has undergone significant price increases and permission reductions since Musk's acquisition, causing a temporary break in third-party clients and research pipelines. The usage-based billing and MCP change the interface from "social read-write" to "agent callable tool layer." The name Everything corresponds to the company's goal of making X a comprehensive application: content, advertising, business, and agents all through the same interface.

From a market mechanism perspective, this is an expansion of platform supply, not a stock price event. Buyers are developers, advertisers, and agent frameworks seeking real-time opinion and posting capabilities; sellers are X, charging for data and writing permissions based on calls. Funds flow from interface billing to the platform, and talent flows from the external engineering market to SpaceXAI. The beneficiaries are teams that can integrate agents into advertising and content streams, while those still relying on the old free high-usage interfaces for crawlers and research projects are under pressure. The hiring of a single individual does not change the interface pricing but indicates that this direction is progressing.

The original Twitter developer interface supported an entire generation of third-party clients, public opinion companies, and academic crawlers. After the acquisition, throttling and price increases effectively brought the external ecosystem back into the platform. The Everything API reopens the same set of data, shifting the target from "those making clients" to "those acting as agents." MCP is a protocol for model-calling tools, indicating that the first monetization focus is not on reading timelines, but on agency and operation.

The capital path is that after SpaceX acquired xAI, it uses launches, Starlink, and computing power to feed back into the model, while using X's real-time discourse as a data moat. The interface is retailing this moat: internal Grok uses the stream for free, while external users pay per call. Joining the SpaceXAI structure rather than the old Twitter subsidiary indicates that the interface is being integrated into the AI platform, rather than being a remnant of social business.

This is analogous to OpenAI connecting ChatGPT actions to external applications, or Salesforce turning CRM into an agent tool: whoever first becomes the default world model for agents will collect tolls. The industry phase is a selective reopening to agents after a contraction from an open platform. Those controlling writing permissions also control opinion bots and advertising bots.

Structural judgment belongs to the reconstruction of the industrial chain. The social graph shifts from a human-used timeline to a model-used tool. The mechanism is: once real-time discourse can be stably read and written by agents, competition shifts from follower counts to who can legally and with low latency call posting, retrieval, and delivery. Thus, the pricing power of the interface shifts from "developer-friendly" to "agent workflow billing."

  1. Interfaces closed to humans will reopen to agents.

  2. Once real-time discourse is callable, the platform transforms from media to tool layer.

  3. Joining the structure is a clearer indicator of a product line still being alive than releasing documentation.
