Cloudflare Launches AI Content Automatic Payment Gateway
Cloudflare has released the Monetization Gateway, allowing websites, APIs, and AI tools to charge per access for content crawled by AI Agents.
When an AI Agent accesses content, it first receives a payment prompt and quote, automatically paying with stablecoins (such as USDC). After verification of the receipt, access is granted, achieving settlement within one second.
Based on the x402 open protocol, verification is conducted by Cloudflare's servers in over 330 cities worldwide, supporting pay-per-access scenarios such as flight data (e.g., 1 cent per query).
