Arkham Marks Robinhood's Twelve On-Chain Wallets

The on-chain intelligence platform Arkham has marked Robinhood's wallets across 12 blockchains, covering the Bitcoin network and Robinhood Chain. The total value of related crypto assets is approximately $24.96 billion.

Bitcoin is the largest position. The marked addresses hold a total of 185,185 BTC, valued at about $15.59 billion, accounting for approximately 62% of the total marked assets. DOGE is around $2.88 billion, ranking high. Another snapshot on the same day recorded a combined balance of about $24.78 billion, including approximately 1.576 million ETH valued at about $4.23 billion and about 30.43 billion DOGE valued at approximately $2.86 billion.

These addresses are primarily aggregated customer custody wallets, not Robinhood's corporate treasury. Arkham has attributed about 1.7 million addresses to Robinhood and ranks the broker 10th among tracked entities based on its visible on-chain balance. Balances will fluctuate with coin prices and may not correspond to new deposits or withdrawals.

Robinhood Chain is a Layer 2 network launched around July 1, aimed at tokenizing stocks and activities related to meme assets. Arkham integrated the marking before and after the launch of this network. The coverage of 12 chains places Bitcoin mainnet custody and this proprietary Layer 2 under the same label.

Visible holdings from institutional custodians typically align more closely with indices: Bitcoin is primary, followed by Ethereum, with others being minimal. Robinhood's DOGE weight is significantly higher than such custodial structures, reflecting retail customers' heavier allocation to meme assets. The $15.59 billion in Bitcoin, at current prices, is about $84,000 per coin.

The buyers are retail investors putting coins into Robinhood custody, while sellers are not present in this marking itself. This is not an inflow of funds; it is the visibility gained after aggregating existing addresses. Beneficiaries are market makers and intelligence users needing to track broker custody flows. Those under pressure are traders pricing customer balances as corporate reserves, and assets like DOGE that have an excessively high weight in a single retail channel. If these addresses move en masse, price impact will first hit DOGE, not Bitcoin.

The $24.96 billion is the dollar valuation at the time of marking, not the audited total of customer assets. Addresses not included in these 12 chains or not yet aggregated are not counted.

Robinhood was founded by Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt, and by the time of its IPO in 2021, crypto revenue was already influencing quarterly profits. The trading frenzy of DOGE on its platform directly impacted retail meme positions in the company's financial reports. After the decline in coin prices in 2022, the proportion of crypto revenue decreased, and the company shifted focus to promoting stocks, retirement accounts, and proprietary clearing. Around July 2026, Robinhood Chain will be launched, integrating tokenized stocks and meme activities into its own Layer 2. Arkham's marking this time reflects the on-chain results of this path, not a new round of corporate coin purchases.

The money is located in customer-owned addresses controlled by the platform. The 185,185 BTC and approximately $2.88 billion DOGE are held in custody by the broker, with users seeing account balances and the blockchain showing aggregated wallets. What the company can mobilize are the tags for custody, settlement, and its own chain, not accounting these coins as financial assets. About 1.7 million addresses attributed to one entity effectively consolidate originally dispersed deposit addresses into a traceable balance sheet. Market makers can thus observe the concentration of DOGE in a single retail channel rather than waiting for quarterly 10-Q reports.

A comparison can be made to Coinbase's on-chain marked customer hot and cold wallets, and the trust collapse after FTX mixed customer balances with company usage in the same set of addresses in 2022. The difference is that Robinhood is explicitly marked as customer custody this time, not corporate treasury. The industry's position is in a control phase: retail brokers are no longer satisfied with routing orders to external exchanges and are beginning to use their own Layer 2 to handle tokenized stocks and meme activities. The visible balance ranks 10th among Arkham's tracked entities, indicating that the scale of retail custody is approaching that of institutional custodians.

Structurally, this represents a transfer of pricing power. The visibility of custodial assets shifts from broker reports to on-chain labels. The mechanism is that once an address is aggregated, balance changes will be priced ahead of financial reports. The weight of DOGE in this wallet is higher than the norm for institutional custody, meaning that a single retail channel can alter the marginal supply and demand for meme coins. The Bitcoin position is large, but its proportion of the network's total supply is limited. The DOGE position is smaller, but its influence on its own circulating supply is greater.

  1. After being marked, the stock will also be priced as flow.

  2. Customer coins on-chain appear to be company reserves.

  3. Assets with a weight exceeding the circulating supply are priced first by the channel.
