Shaw, founder of daos.fun, accuses baoskee of insider selling ai16z for a profit of $6.6 million
Shaw, the founder of daos.fun, accused core project member baoskee of using insider information to sell ai16z during the renaming and migration process, profiting approximately $6.6 million, and provided relevant Solscan on-chain records.
Shaw claimed that baoskee, knowing that a16z required the project to change its name to avoid trademark issues, failed to launch the promised Snapshot voting mechanism and instead sold a large amount of ai16z tokens from the execution wallet.
In response, baoskee refuted the claims, calling Shaw "completely insane."
Baoskee pointed out that Shaw had previously used the ai16z brand to Rug multiple pump.fun projects; turned the community Meme coin into a mature company, resulting in serious copyright infringement issues; caused the token's market value to drop from billions to six figures; launched a second token Rug first and caused users to lose funds; and that the Snapshot voting has been launched (the website is still accessible), with daos.fun personally adding and locking over $1 million in ai16z liquidity.
There are significant discrepancies in the statements from both sides, with Shaw indicating he will provide on-chain records as evidence.
From a market mechanism perspective, internal members of the project are accusing each other of insider trading and Rug pulls, leading to a crisis of trust within the community, which may accelerate the withdrawal of funds from related tokens. The incident drives scrutiny of DAO governance and the transparency of execution wallets, putting pressure on the controversial project and benefiting on-chain verifiable governance tools.
Supplementary data shows that the controversy revolves around a16z's trademark requirements around June 2025, voting commitments, and the timeline for subsequent migration to elizaOS.

Shaw and baoskee, as key figures related to ai16z/daos.fun, previously collaborated to evolve the project from a Meme coin to a corporate structure, with historical actions showing accumulated conflicts over brand usage, token control, and community commitments, ultimately leading to public accusations.
In terms of capital pathways, the accusations focus on the timing of the execution wallet's sales and the advantage of insider information, motivated by the need to explain price declines and migration losses, strategically competing for narrative dominance through on-chain records and counter-accusations.
Similar cases can be seen in other AI Agent or Meme projects that have publicly torn apart after trademark conflicts, migrations, and internal team disagreements. Currently, Solana ecosystem AI tokens are transitioning from an overvalued narrative to governance and accountability liquidation.
Structural judgment indicates capital concentration: because the execution wallet and insider information create an unequal advantage, it allows a few controllers to act before key events, forcing the community to demand stricter multi-signature and public voting, shifting pricing power from narrative hype to on-chain transparency and accountability.
