Anthropic Claude Fable 5 Included in Max and Team Premium Plans
Anthropic announced that starting July 20, Claude Fable 5 will officially be included in the Max and Team Premium plans, allowing users to allocate up to 50% of their plan quota to Fable 5, with no temporary cutoff date set.
Pro and Team Standard users will still need to use Fable 5 through pay-as-you-go quotas, and Anthropic will provide a one-time credit of $100.
The AI subscription service enhances user retention by expanding the availability of high-end models, directing funds towards platforms with multi-model switching capabilities, benefiting Anthropic while putting pressure on competitors reliant on a single model, accelerating the industry's shift towards flexible payment and high-performance model bundling.

Anthropic has continuously launched enterprise and consumer-level features through iterations of the Claude series, previously focusing on expanding team collaboration and security features during the Claude 3/4 phases to differentiate from OpenAI's product line.
In terms of capital strategy, the plan adjustments will shift paid user resources towards cutting-edge models like Fable 5, with revenue growth achieved through higher ARPU and retention rates, motivated by the aim to solidify the high-end user base and test the commercialization path of the models.
Similar to OpenAI's strategy of gradually opening new versions to paid users, the current large model subscription market is in a mature stage of multi-model competition and pricing optimization, with Anthropic expanding its share due to its safety advantages.
Structural Judgment: This essentially represents a transfer of pricing power, with the inclusion of high-end models in fixed plans optimizing revenue structure, concentrating capital on platforms that offer flexible high-performance access, driven by the growing user demand for the latest models pushing the subscription model from pay-as-you-go to mixed quotas.
